Literatura e psique: uma análise da construção das figuras arquetípicas de resistência feminista na prosa machadiana

Abstract

RESUMO: O presente Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso investiga os arquétipos da resistência feminista na escrita machadiana. Para isso, teve como objetivo geral analisar a construção psicológica das figuras arquetípicas de resistência feminista nos romances românticos A mão e a luva e Helena, de Machado de Assis (1839 – 1908). A fim de assegurar a exequibilidade do objetivo recorreu se à pesquisa do tipo bibliográfica e a abordagem qualitativa, além da técnica do fichamento para o manuseio das teorias e das obras literárias. Nisto, recorreu-se à leitura dos romances A mão e a luva (1874) e Helena (1876), e Coutinho (1986), Candido (1989), Ribeiro (2008), Jung (2016), Carpeaux (2020), Bosi (2015), entre outros que se fizeram necessários à análise. Consoante à pesquisa notou que na escrita machadiana é perceptível a presença de críticas à sociedade da época, por meio de personagens femininas que possuíam virtudes e traços que não se encaixaram nos padrões do patriarcalismo, trazendo em si a resistência feminista, outrora adotada em movimentos da era pós-moderna. Assim sendo, temos em A mão e a luva (1874) Guiomar, mulher decidida, de senso prático e habilidades de manejar o próprio destino, e em Helena (1876), que narra a história da personagem de mesmo nome, uma mulher inteligente, bela e que sabia se portar diante de qualquer situação, defendendo seus ideais mesmo em meio a uma sociedade machista.___ABSTRACT: This Final Course Work investigates the archetypes of feminist resistance in Machado's writing. To this end, its general objective was to analyze the psychological construction of the archetypal figures of feminist resistance in the romantic novels A mão e a luva and Helena, by Machado de Assis (1839-1908). In order to ensure the feasibility of the objective, bibliographic research and a qualitative approach were used, in addition to the indexing technique for handling theories and literary works. In this, we resorted to reading the novels A mão e a luva (1874) and Helena (1876), and Coutinho (1986), Candido (1989), Ribeiro (2008), Jung (2016), Carpeaux (2020), Bosi (2015), among others that were necessary for the analysis. According to the research, it was noted that in Machado's writing, there is a noticeable presence of criticism of the society of the time, through female characters who had virtues and traits that did not fit into the standards of patriarchy, bringing with them the feminist resistance, once adopted in movements of the post-modern era. Thus, in A mão e a luva (1874) we have Guiomar, a determined woman, with a practical sense and the ability to manage her own destiny, and in Helena (1876), which tells the story of the character of the same name, an intelligent, beautiful woman who knew how to behave in any situation, defending her ideals even in the midst of a sexist society.
