Reflexões sobre a inclusão de estudantes surdos nos cursos de Hotelaria e Turismo da Universidade Federal do Maranhão

Abstract

RESUMO A Educação Inclusiva é fundamentada nos princípios dos direitos humanos e da cidadania, tendo por objetivo eliminar a descriminação, a marginalização e a exclusão. Diante disto este trabalho tem como objetivo compreender o processo de inclusão dos estudantes surdos nos cursos de hotelaria e turismo da Universidade Federal do Maranhão. Esta pesquisa é qualitativa. Metodologicamente a pesquisa foi dividida de formas: primeiramente aborda uma dimensão teórica que significa a seleção e a leitura de material publicado sobre a temática proposta neste trabalho, dito de outro modo esta dimensão significa a pesquisa bibliográfica. Um segundo momento diz respeito a dimensão mais prática, ou seja, a coleta de dados junto aos participantes com aplicação de entrevista. Os participantes da pesquisa foram os alunos surdos dos cursos de hotelaria e turismo da Universidade Federal do Maranhão. Conclui-se que, A investigação realizada foi de fundamental importância, pois possibilitou a compreensão desse fenômeno. Ficou evidente que é necessário que todos os que fazem parte dos cursos investigados, principalmente os professores, intérpretes e estudantes possam repensar as relações e a aprendizagem dentro e fora da sala de aula considerando as diferenças e particularidades dos estudantes. ABSTRACT Inclusive Education is based on the principles of human rights and citizenship, with the objective of eliminating discrimination, marginalization and exclusion. Given this, this work aims to understand the process of inclusion of deaf students in hospitality and tourism courses at the Federal University of Maranhão. This research is qualitative. Methodologically, the research was divided in ways: firstly, it addresses a theoretical dimension that means the selection and reading of published material on the theme proposed in this work, in other words, this dimension means bibliographical research. A second moment concerns the more practical dimension, that is, the collection of data from the participants with the application of an interview. The research participants were deaf students from the hotel and tourism courses at the Federal University of Maranhão. It is concluded that, the investigation carried out was of fundamental importance, as it enabled the understanding of this phenomenon. It became evident that it is necessary that all those who are part of the investigated courses, mainly teachers, interpreters and students, be able to rethink the relationships and learning inside and outside the classroom, considering the differences and particularities of the students.
