OS QUATROS EIXOS REPRESENTATIVOS DA CIDADE DE SÃO LUÍS EM O (C)OITO DE SETEMBRO

Abstract

No ano de 2012 a capital maranhense, completou 400 anos, diante dessa comemoração vários segmentos da sociedade organizaram eventos para homenageá-la. Nesse momento festivo, muitos escreveram suas inspirações e versos com a ânsia de demonstrar seu afeto e respeito pela urbe, a leitura do livro (C)oito de setembro, traz um questionamento: como a cidade diante da festividade e da realidade vem sendo descrita na poesia? Então, são estabelecidos eixos de análises, com o desejo de descrever como a cidade está sendo representada na obra. Este artigo tem como objetivo analisar o livro (C)oito de setembro, 2015 de Edimilson Rodrigues, escritor maranhense, olhando em especial, para as representações que a cidade de São Luís ganha na referida obra. Com o intuito de analisar o texto poético, o trabalho usa textos de Massaud Moises (2012), Carlos Felipe Moisés (1996), Antônio Cândido (2006) e Ulisses Infante, José de Nicola (1947). Os eixos temáticos estabelecidos partem de leituras precisas e análises de cada capítulo. Mediante a leitura, foi possível estabelecer quatros eixos em que o autor descreve a ilha: de uma maneira amorosa, cultivando seus elementos culturais, conversando com outros textos, trazendo uma reflexão sobre a mudança populacional da então, metrópole; e ainda reescrevendo o momento festivo da quatrocentona. Todos esses elementos são registrados no trabalho, em cada eixo representativo, buscamos no livro trechos que correspondem com as representatividades. A obra é uma homenagem, com algumas críticas a respeito das transformações que a cidade está passando, o autor enlaça a festividade com sua poesia. ___________ ABSTRACT: In 2012, the capital of Maranhão, celebrated 400 years, and before this celebration various segments of society organized events to honor it in music, art, schools and poetry. This festive moment many wrote their inspirations and verses with the eagerness to show their affection and respect for the city, the reading of the book (C) September 8, brings a questioning; How has the city in the face of festivity and reality been described in poetry? Then axes of analysis are established with the desire to record how the city is being represented in the work. This article aims to analyze the book (c) September 8 by Edimilson Rodrigues (2015), a writer from Maranhão, looking especially at the representations that the city of São Luís wins in this work. In order to analyze the poetic text, the work uses texts by Massaud Moises (1928), Carlos Felipe (1996), Antônio Cândido (2006) and Ulisses Infante (1947). The established thematic axes start from precise readings, and analyzes of each chapter. Through reading it was possible to establish four axes in which the author describes the island in a loving way, cultivating its cultural elements, talking with other texts, bringing a reflection on the population change of the then metropolis; And still rewriting the festive moment of the four hundred. All these elements are recorded in the work, in each representative axis, we search in the book excerpts that correspond with the representativities. The work is a homage, with some criticism regarding the transformations that the city is going through, the author links the festivity with his poetry.
