dc.description	This study investigated the food ecology of the Ameivula ocellifera lizard (SPIX, 1825) (Squamata: Teiidae) in meso-habitat of dunes and sandbanks of Lençóis Maranhenses National Park , Maranhão, Brazil. Analysis of stomach contents showed differences between the mesohábitat of the sample, presenting significant spatial variation in the niche overlap. The niche amplitude was also differentiated. Being the lizards of the sandbanks more specialized in the diet. No were recorded significant differences in the average length or volume of prey in the different mesohábitats. With regarding the mean size between males and females, no significant differences were observed. Similarly, no difference in the size of individuals mesohábitats.	pt_BR
dc.description.abstract	Este estudo investigou a ecologia alimentar do lagarto Ameivula ocellifera (SPIX, 1825) (Squamata: Teiidae) em mesohábitat de dunas e restingas do Parque Nacional dos Lençóis Maranhenses, Maranhão, Brasil. A análise do conteúdo estomacal mostrou diferenças significantes entre os mesohábitat da amostra, apresentando relevante variação espacial na sobreposição de nicho. A amplitude de nicho também se mostrou diferenciada. Sendo os lagartos da restinga mais especializados na dieta. Não foram registradas diferenças significativas no comprimento ou volume médio das presas nos diferentes mesohábitats. Com relação ao tamanho médio entre machos e fêmeas não foi observado diferenças significantes. Semelhantemente, não foram registradas diferença no tamanho dos indivíduos nos diferentes mesohábitats.	pt_BR
