| Resumo: | Este trabalho investigou como as populações indígenas são percebidos por alunos e professores da U.I.M Governador Archer em Codó-Ma e como estas são abordados nos livros didáticos de história atualmente utilizados nessa escola. Os indígenas foram relegados a meros coadjuvantes da história da colonização portuguesa tendo sua participação e história na constituição do território e cultura nacional minimizada, sendo considerados uma sociedade sem passado. Uma das conquistas da população indígena foi concedida com a Lei n°11.645/2008 que complementa a então já existente Lei 10.639/03 assim torna-se obrigatório nos estabelecimentos de ensino fundamental e médio, públicos e privados, o estudo da cultura afro-brasileira e indígena. |
| Descrição: | This work investigated how indigenous populations are perceived by U.I.M Governador Archer students and teachers and how these are addressed in the history textbooks currently used in this school. The Indians were relegated to were considered mere auxilied of the history of the Portuguese colonization, having their participation and history in the constitution of the territory and national culture minimized, being considered a society without past. One of the achievements of the indigenous population was granted by Law n ° 11.645 / 2008, which complements the then existing Law 10.639 / 03, so that the study of Afro-Brazilian culture is compulsory in public and private primary, secondary schools and indigenous. |
