dc.descriptionThis resourch proposes a study of the representations of one of the gods of Norse Mythology, Odin, in the music of the bands of the genre Power Metal, a slope, branch or sub-genre of heavy metal, Manowar and Wizard. Making confrontation between these appropriations of the god Odin in letters and other aspects of the albums Odin (Wizard) and Gods of War (Manowar), being the first of German nationality and the lastest, American. As methodology, we employ the studies of representation studies and historical appropriation of Roger Chartier, and historiographical reflections on audiovisual sources.pt_BR
dc.description.abstractEsta pesquisa propõe um estudo das representações de um dos deuses da Mitologia Nórdica, Odin, nas músicas das bandas do gênero Power Metal, uma vertente, ramificação ou subgênero do Heavy Metal, Manowar e Wizard. Fazendo confronto entre essas apropriações do deus Odin nas letras e outros aspectos dos álbuns (Odin) Wizard e Gods of War (Manowar) sendo a primeira de nacionalidade alemã e a última, estadunidense. Como metodologia, empregamos os estudos de representação e apropriação histórica de Roger Chartier, e reflexões historiográficas sobre fontes audiovisuais.pt_BR
