dc.description	This research aimed to identify the practice of bullying in the Sarney de Araújo Costa School of the Codó city, Maranhão, having as a basic subsidy the teachers and students representations about the phenomenon. The methodology, qualitative in nature, includes observations and application of questionnaires. Bullying is a serious problem and difficult to solve, by fostering reflections and, within the limits of this research, sketching a diagnosis and / or panorama of such violence in the school, we believe that we are contributing in some way to addressing them. It was found in the statements of teachers and students that the practice of bullying in this school is commonplace, that most students have witnessed acts of this nature and that teachers generally find it difficult to act on these issues. At least one event has already taken place at school to prevent and combat bullying.	pt_BR
dc.description.abstract	Esta pesquisa objetivou identificar a prática do bullying na Escola Municipal Desembargador Sarney de Araújo Costa do Município de Codó, Maranhão, tendo como subsídio básico as representações de docentes e discentes acerca do fenômeno. A metodologia, de cunho qualitativo, inclui observações e aplicação de questionários. O bullying é um problema grave e difícil solução, ao fomentar reflexões e, dentro dos limites dessa pesquisa, esboçar um diagnóstico e/ou panorama de tais violências na referida escola, acreditamos que estamos contribuindo de alguma forma para o enfrentamento das mesmas. Verificamos, nas falas de docentes e discentes que a prática do bullying nesta escola é corriqueira, que a maioria dos/as discentes já presenciou atos dessa natureza e que os docentes em geral consideram difícil atuar frente a estas questões. Pelo menos um evento já aconteceu na escola no sentido da prevenção e combate ao bullying.	pt_BR
