Estéticas negras como mecanismo de representação

Abstract

Resumo O trabalho discute os conceitos de representação, identidade e autoestima negra, e faz uma análise sobre produções da Psicologia sobre o tema, relacionando a categoria étnico-racial e os processos de formação identitária. Usa da metodologia do ensaio e relaciona a história da arte e seu processo de representação da beleza, com ênfase no processo de apagamento histórico da cultura e subjetividade negras nas produções artísticas, e suas consequências para o imaginário da população negra, com base nos estudos teóricos decoloniais de Walter Mignolo sobre aiesthesis decolonial. A produção procura compreender como a Psicologia tem buscado responder ao tema da saúde mental negra, com enfoque nas consequências psíquicas do racismo para a pessoa negra. Apresenta produções de artistas negros, que discutem as temáticas do racismo, identidade e beleza negras, como mecanismo de trabalho do profissional psicólogo e material facilitador na escuta e trabalho desse sujeito negro que sofre racismo, e não tem referências estéticas para a construção de sua identidade e negritude. A pesquisa observou que ainda é escassa a produção acadêmica da Psicologia sobre identidade negra e saúde mental negra, e acredita que esse estado é consequência do racismo estrutural presente nas instituições e na produção de conhecimento. O trabalho considera que a atuação do psicólogo que almeja trabalhar com saúde mental da pessoa negra deve posicionar-se politicamente, com atitude antirracista, no processo psicoterápico e fora desse ambiente, questionando seu fazer profissional, seus referenciais teóricos e subjetividade. O estudo analisou como as representações artísticas, as estéticas e representações negras são possibilidades de aproximação do profissional psicólogo com o sujeito negro, e mecanismos de suas (re)existências. _____ ABSTRACT The work discusses the concepts of representation, identity and black self-esteem, and analyzes Psychology's productions on the subject, relating the ethnic-racial category and the processes of identity formation. It uses the methodology of the essay and relates the history of art and its process of representation of beauty, with an emphasis on the process of historical erasure of black culture and subjectivity in artistic productions, and its consequences for the imagination of the black population, based on theoretical studies Walter Mignolo's decolonials on decolonial aesthesis. The production seeks to understand how Psychology has sought to respond to the theme of black mental health, focusing on the psychic consequences of racism for black people. It presents productions by black artists, who discuss the themes of racism, black identity and beauty, as a working mechanism of the psychologist professional and facilitating material in the listening and work of this black subject who suffers racism, and has no aesthetic references for the construction of his identity and blackness. The research observed that the academic production of Psychology on black identity and black mental health is still scarce, and it believes that this state is a consequence of the structural racism present in institutions and in the production of knowledge. The work considers that the role of the psychologist who aims to work with the mental health of black people must take a political stance, with an anti-racist attitude, in the psychotherapeutic process and outside this environment, questioning their professional practice, their theoretical references and subjectivity. The study analyzed how the artistic, aesthetic and black representations are possibilities of approximation of the professional psychologist with the black subject, and mechanisms of their (re)existence.
