Perfil socioeducativo de discentes e docentes no ensino de ciências com foco em sexualidade

Abstract

RESUMO Os jovens têm iniciado de forma precoce a vida sexual, entre os 13 e 17 anos, com isso é necessário aprofundar as discussões sobre o assunto no ambiente escolar, bem como trazer para essas discussões os materiais didáticos utilizados para tratar sobre esse tema. O presente trabalho como objetivo verificar aspectos didáticos, teóricos e culturais relacionados ao ensino, aprendizagem e aplicabilidade do tema sexualidade por alunos do 8° ano de escolas da rede pública de ensino da cidade de Coelho Neto - Maranhão. A pesquisa realizada possui caráter descritivo e exploratório de natureza quantitativa. Os dados foram obtidos a partir de formulários aplicados a 80 alunos e professores de ciências, de duas escolas da rede pública da cidade de Coelho Neto – Maranhão. Os temas relacionados à sexualidade do livro didático utilizado foram avaliados quantitativamente e verificou se que o tema sexualidade tem uma abordagem menor do que os demais temas tratados no livro de ciências do 8° ano das escolas estudadas. Os estudantes afirmam que tem um bom relacionamento com os pais e professores, reconhecem a relevância do tema, mas preferem conversar sobre esse assunto com os colegas. Os professores não encontram empecilhos para tratar sobre educação sexual com os seus estudantes e reiteram que apesar do livro trazer de forma reduzida a temática sobre educação sexual, o livro ainda assim é considerado um material aplicável e serve de suporte para agregar e expandir a temática.___ ABSTRACT: Teenagers have been earlier in their sexual life early, generally starting between 13 and 17 years old, so it is necessary to deepen the discussions on the subject in the school environment, and discuss the didactic materials used to deal with this topic. The present work aim to verify didactic, theoretical, and cultural aspects related to the teaching, learning, and applicability of the sexuality theme by students in the 8th year of public schools in the city of Coelho Neto - Maranhão. The research carried out has a descriptive and exploratory character of a quantitative nature. Data were obtained from forms applied to 80 students and science teachers from two public schools in the city of Coelho Neto - Maranhão. The topics related to sexuality in the textbook used were quantitatively evaluated and it was found that the topic of sexuality has a smaller approach than the other topics dealt with in the 8th grade science book of the schools studied. Students say they have a good relationship with parents and teachers, they recognize the relevance of the topic but prefer to talk about it with their colleagues. Teachers do not find obstacles to discussing sex education with their students and reiterate that although the book brings the theme of sex education in a reduced way, the book is still considered applicable material and serves as a support to aggregate and expand the theme..
