Construção da identidade: as mulheres negras e as relações afetivas

Abstract

RESUMO Pesquisas relacionadas a questões raciais têm sido cada vez mais difundidas nas produções bibliográficas, porém mostra-se incipientes pesquisas que relacionam questões raciais a relacionamentos afetivos-sexuais na Psicologia. Esta pesquisa aborda questões identitárias, especialmente no que consiste a construção da identidade da mulher negra e os modos como esta construção pode interferir em seus relacionamentos afetivos. Para tanto, são introduzidos tópicos iniciais acerca de questões sociais, de classe, gênero e raça na realidade brasileira, dialogando com autoras como Sueli Carneiro, Angela Davis, Lélia Gonzalez e Ana Cláudia Pacheco. Tendo objetivo geral relacionar o processo de construção identitária das mulheres negras com os modos como se dão seus relacionamentos afetivo-sexuais. E como objetivos específicos: contextualizar historicamente o entrelaçamento entre racismo, mulheres negras e relações afetivo-sexuais no Brasil; caracterizar processos de construção identitária de mulheres negras; e, por fim, analisar como se deram as relações afetivo-sexuais de mulheres negras antes e depois do seu processo de construção de identidade. Para tanto foi utilizado o método de história de vida onde, por meio de entrevistas não-diretivas, foi escutado o relato acerca da trajetória de quatro mulheres negras que possuem relacionamentos afetivo-sexuais posteriores a sua construção identitária. A partir das entrevistas foi possível compreender quais componentes estruturaram e mediaram as escolhas afetivas das mulheres negras entrevistadas, em suas narrativas compareceram categorias como raça e gênero atravessados por outras categorias, desta forma, trazendo os sentidos e as compreensões produzidas e reinventadas por essas mulheres em suas vidas cotidianas, sendo possível perceber aproximações e distanciamentos nas histórias retratadas. A pesquisa aponta a dificuldade para a construção da identidade da mulher negra em nossa sociedade onde o padrão branco ainda é exaltado, assim como revela o preterimento afetivo sofrido por estas mulheres, tanto em relação a seus pares, quanto em relação aos homens brancos, corroborando com outros estudos realizados a este respeito.__ABSTRACT Studies related to racial issues have been more diffused when it comes to bibliographical works, although researches relating racial matters with sexual and affectional relationships are still incipient in Psychology. This research approaches identity matters, especially when it concerns the construction of black women's identity and the ways in which this development can interfere with their affectional relationships. To this end, topics related to gender, class, race and social matters in Brazil’s society will be introduced, along with authors such as Sueli Carneiro, Angela Davis, Lélia Gonzalez and Ana Cláudia Pacheco. The main goal of this study is to connect the developmental process of black women’s identity with the manner in which their sexual and affectional relationships take place. As to its specific goals: historically contextualize the connection between racism, black women and sexual and affectional relationships in Brazil; characterize processes of identity construction of black women; and, lastly, analyze the sexual and affectional relationships of black women before and after their process of identity construction. To do so, it was used the life history method in which, through non-directive interviews, it was heard accounts regarding the trajectory of four black women and their relationships post their identitarian construction. From these interviews we were able to understand which components mediated and framed the affectional choices of the black women who were interviewed, how their narratives brought about categories related to race and gender along other categories, conveying senses and insights produced and reinvented by these women in their daily lives, being possible to perceive approximations and distancing in the stories portrayed. This research marks the difficulties black women experience in the construction of their identities in a society where being white is, still, exalted, and reveals the affective belittlement suffered by these women, both in relation to their peers and in relation to white men, corroborating with other studies carried out in this regard.
