René Girard: a teoria mimética na interpretação do mito

Abstract

RESUMO O presente trabalho investiga a teoria mimética desenvolvida por René Girard e o seu uso para compreender a origem da cultura, a interpretação do mito e sua diferença com relação a outras teorias das Ciências Humanas, a saber, a psicanálise e o estruturalismo. Observamos o desenvolvimento dos principais conceitos da teoria mimética, especialmente o problema da violência disruptiva e a sua contenção como mola da fundação da cultura. O trabalho apresenta como o uso da teoria mimética explica os fundamentos da cultura e como estes fundamentos podem ser compreendidos por meio do desejo mimético, da literatura, das narrativas mitológicas e dos ritos antigos. Neste sentido, o trabalho além de apresentar o desenvolvimento da teoria mimética e seus principais conceitos, aborda a força da teoria na interpretação do mito e a crítica a sistemas de pensamento que trazem ao mundo ocidental, no campo das Ciências Humanas, equívocos interpretativos sobre a natureza das relações humanas.__ABSTRACT The present work investigates the mimetic theory developed by René Girard and its use to understand the origin of culture, the interpretation of myth and its difference in relation to other theories of Human Sciences, namely, psychoanalysis and structuralism. We observe the development of the main concepts of mimetic theory, especially the problem of disruptive violence and its containment as the foundation of culture. The work presents how the use of mimetic theory explains the foundations of culture and how these foundations can be understood through mimetic desire, literature, mythological narratives and ancient rites. In this sense, the work, in addition to presenting the development of mimetic theory and its main concepts, addressing the strength of theory in the interpretation of myth and the criticism of systems of thought that bring to the Western world, in the field of Human Sciences, interpretive mistakes about the nature of human relations.
