Educação em direitos humanos: Um estudo na Unidade Escolar "Dom Jaime Câmara" na zona urbana do município de Santa Quitéria do Maranhão

Abstract

RESUMO O presente estudo tem como foco principal analisar como a escola trabalha a Educação em Direitos na prática em sala de aula, buscando alinhar o que propõe no seu projeto pedagógico. Buscou-se, quanto a objetivos específicos, conhecer o significado do termo Educação em Direitos Humanos, analisar o papel dos docentes e suas relações com os discentes e compreender as práticas da escola e suas contribuições para consolidação do ideário de uma escola cidadã. No tocante a metodologia este estudo tem como base um estudo de caso, quanto à escolha do objeto de estudo, sendo descritiva, quanto aos objetivos, com abordagem de natureza qualitativa quanto a análise dos dados. Quanto a técnica utilizada para a coleta de dados se enquadra na pesquisa bibliográfica, de campo e a utilização de um questionário com perguntas abertas a gestora e três docentes da Unidade Escolar “Dom Jaime Câmara” na zona urbana do município de Santa Quitéria - MA. Diante disso, verifica-se que os docentes têm conhecimento e interesses para trabalhar a Educação em Direitos Humanos na escola. A escola é um espaço de mediação do conhecimento em seus muitos aspectos e o currículo da escola contempla a Educação em Direitos Humanos. A escola assume influente na formação de valores humanos, com vista em uma sociedade mais justa e igualitária.__ABSTRACT: ABSTRACT The main focus of this study is to analyze how the school works on Rights Education in practice in the classroom, seeking to align what it proposes in its pedagogical project. With regard to specific objectives, we sought to understand the meaning of the term Education in Human Rights, analyze the role of teachers and their relationships with students and understand the school's practices and their contributions to the consolidation of the ideals of a citizen school. Regarding the methodology, this study is based on a case study, regarding the choice of the object of study, being descriptive, regarding the objectives, with a qualitative approach regarding data analysis. As for the technique used for data collection, it fits into the bibliographical and field research and the use of a questionnaire with open questions to the manager and three teachers of the School Unit “Dom Jaime Câmara” in the urban area of the municipality of Santa Quitéria - MA. In view of this, it appears that teachers have the knowledge and interests to work on Human Rights Education at school. The school is a space for the mediation of knowledge in its many aspects and the school's curriculum includes Education in Human Rights. The school assumes influence in the formation of human values, with a view to a more just and egalitarian society.
