| Resumo: | RESUMO Está pesquisa é voltada na vida e obra de Santo Agostinho, na qual abordei alguns movimentos da Patrística onde Santo Agostinho foi inserido como um dos mais importantes nomes desse movimento da Igreja por volta do século II. De um homem voltado as busca dos prazeres, porém necessitado dá verdade, onde foi buscar na filosofia neoplatônica a forma de preencher sua alma, porém não a encontra. No entanto, se converte ao cristianismo e a partir daí encontra o que sempre procurava que era a verdade. Depois começa a escrever obras que será fundamental para a organização do magistério da Igreja e da própria filosofia ocidental, onde nas grandes obras de Santo Agostinho sua influência maior será Platão. De um professor de retórica que dava aulas para a nobreza em Milão, anos mais tarde já convertido e de idade avançada torna-se bispo de Hipona que trabalhava em prol da conversão das almas na África. Tonando-se doutor da Igreja posteriormente. |
| Descrição: | ABSTRACT This research is focused on the life and work of Saint Augustine, in which I approached some movements of the Patristics where Saint Augustine was inserted as one of the most important names of this movement of the Church around the second century. Of a man dedicated to the pursuit of pleasures, but in need of the truth, where he sought in Neoplatonic philosophy the way to fill his soul, but he did not find it. However, he converts to Christianity and from there he finds what he was always looking for, which was the truth. Then he began to write works that would be fundamental for the organization of the teaching of the Church and Western philosophy itself, where in the great works of St. Augustine his greatest influence would be Plato. From a professor of rhetoric who gave classes to the nobility in Milan, years later, already converted and of advanced age, he became the bishop of Hippo who worked for the conversion of souls in Africa. Later becoming a Doctor of the Church. |
