| Resumo: | A problemática em torno da Educação Ambiental - EA está relacionada ao modo de desenvolvimento econômico que foi implementada a partir da Revolução Industrial e ao crescimento populacional, que maximizaram os níveis e degradação dos recursos ambientais. No entanto, somente a partir do ano de 1960 que surgiram mobilizações constantes das massas populares com o intuito de reduzir o processo de degradação do meio ambiente, mais precisamente no ano de 1962 com a obra da ambientalista americana Rachel Carson, sendo considerado o marco para as principais conferências internacionais que aconteceriam em muitas nações, culminando em documentos oficiais que norteiam e legitimam a EA como principal fonte de mudanças de comportamentos ecocivilizatórios a nível planetário. O objetivo deste trabalho é identificar o nível de percepção ambiental da população da zona urbana de Chapadinha-MA. A pesquisa teve abordagem quali-quantitativa e o questionário foi constituído de perguntas fechadas e abertas. A análise dos dados qualitativos foi feita pelo programa Iramuteq@ que permite interpretar o corpus textual das respostas subjetivas e os dados quantitativos foram feitos através do programa Microsoft Excel para inferir a frequência das respostas para cada alternativa e se os perfis socioeconômicos influenciaram nas respostas dos entrevistados. Foi verificado que o nível de percepção ambiental dos moradores é alto e os fatores socioeconômicos não afetaram esse entendimento. Foi constatado que é necessário a articulação do poder público para efetivar ações práticas e políticas públicas para implementar essa percepção teórica sobre os preceitos da EA que a população demonstrou ter. |
| Descrição: | The issue surrounding Environmental Education - EE is related to the mode of economic development that was implemented from the Industrial Revolution and population growth, which maximized the levels and degradation of environmental resources. However, it was only from the year 1960 that constant mobilizations of the popular masses appeared with the intention of reducing the process of degradation of the environment, more precisely in the year 1962 with the work of the American environmentalist Rachel Carson, being considered the landmark for the main international conferences that would take place in many nations, culminating in official documents that guide and legitimize EE as the main source of changes in eco-civilizing behavior at a planetary level. The objective of this work is to identify the level of environmental perception of the population in the urban area of Chapadinha-MA. The research had a quali-quantitative approach and the questionnaire consisted of closed and open questions. The qualitative data analysis was performed using the Iramuteq@ program, which allows the interpretation of the textual corpus of the subjective responses, and the quantitative data were performed using the Microsoft Excel program to infer the frequency of responses for each alternative and whether the socioeconomic profiles influenced the respondents' responses. It was verified that the level of environmental perception of the residents is high, and that the socioeconomic factors did not affect this understanding. It was founded that the articulation of the public power is necessary to carry out practical actions and public policies to implement this theoretical perception about the precepts of EE that the population demonstrated to have. |
