Preconceito linguístico na relação professor/aluno: conflitos, dilemas e experiências da docência

Abstract

RESUMO: O presente artigo discute manifestações de preconceito linguístico na sala de aula, mostrando impactos dessa prática na relação professor/aluno. O presente artigo tem como objetivo geral desvelar manifestações do preconceito linguístico no contexto escolar e suas implicações na relação professor/aluno. Como objetivos específicos têm-se: identificar situações de preconceito linguístico em sala de aula; verificar como alunos da 2ª série do Ensino Médio de uma escola estadual do município de São Bernardo (MA) tratam a variação linguística no contexto escolar e em suas realidades cotidianas; aplicar uma oficina acerca da temática, trabalhando criticamente, sobre a importância de aprender a norma padrão e respeitar a diversidade linguística no ambiente escolar; e discutir sobre questões socioculturais em torno do preconceito linguístico. A pesquisa em questão foi embasada em teóricos como: Bagno (1999), Bortoni-Ricardo (2004), Taralho (1994), etc. O estudo, de abordagem qualitativa, compreende características de uma pesquisa-ação, tendo com técnica uma oficina pedagógica aplicada com alunos do 2º ano do Ensino Médio de uma escola pública estadual de São Bernardo (MA). Os resultados do estudo mostram que a variedade linguística quando se difere em determinado meio social, como ocorreu com a professora da turma do 2º ano, pode ser uma causa de preconceito linguístico, o que interferiu na relação entre a docente e os discentes, ratificando que essa prática deve ser extirpada nos contextos escolares e para além deles.__ABSTRACT: This article discusses manifestations of linguistic prejudice in the classroom, showing the impact of this practice on the teacher/student relationship. The general aim of this article is to uncover manifestations of linguistic prejudice in the school context and their implications for the teacher/student relationship. The specific objectives are: to identify situations of linguistic prejudice in the classroom; to see how students in the second year of secondary school at a state school in the municipality of São Bernardo (MA) deal with linguistic variation in the school context and in their everyday realities; to apply a workshop on the subject, working critically on the importance of learning the standard norm and respecting linguistic diversity in the school environment; and to discuss sociocultural issues surrounding linguistic prejudice. The research in question was based on theorists such as Bagno (1999), BortoniRicardo (2004), Taralho (1994), etc. The study, with a qualitative approach, has the characteristics of an action-research project, using a pedagogical workshop with students from the 2nd year of secondary school at a state public school in São Bernardo (MA). The results of the study show that the linguistic variety when it differs in a given social environment, as occurred with the teacher of the 2nd year class, can be a cause of linguistic prejudice, which interfered in the relationship between the teacher and the students, confirming that this practice must be extirpated in the context of the school.
