O discurso de divulgação científica no jornalismo noticioso

Abstract

RESUMO

O presente trabalho analisa o discurso de divulgação científica em textos jornalísticos a partir da perspectiva bakhtiniana que compreende a linguagem como atividade dialógica, a palavra como uma arena de lutas sociais entre sujeitos responsivos. No texto jornalístico é possível observar a mobilização de vozes e a posição valorativa que cada representante adota, além do papel de mediador que o jornalista desempenha ao colocar em confronto a voz de diferentes representantes de instâncias do poder. O discurso citado deixa explícito a alternância dos sujeitos, qual o lugar de origem de cada enunciador e qual posição valorativa ele ocupa. Quando observamos as notícias relacionadas ao período da pandemia de Covid-19 e da crise de saúde vivenciada pelos índios Yanomamis fica evidente o confronto entre o discurso negacionista difundido por representantes do governo federal e o discurso de divulgação científica que circula no texto jornalístico. Noticiar envolve colocar em confronto vozes que representam diferentes esferas como os cientistas e especialistas, os representantes indígenas e os representantes do governo federal. Para este estudo, delimitamos notícias dos jornais online G1 Bahia, Nexo Jornal, Poder360, relacionadas ao período da pandemia de covid-19; e CNN, Um Só Planeta, BBC News e Agência Câmara de Notícias, que divulgam informações voltadas para a crise humanitária e de saúde enfrentada pelos índios Yanomamis no Norte do Brasil. Esses jornais divulgam informações relevantes para a sociedade e como tal acabam por trazer junto a essas informações o discurso de divulgação científica que se contrapõe ao discurso negacionista. O discurso citado permite analisar os sentidos que ele causa no texto jornalístico através do dizer de representantes do pensamento científico para validar e dar credibilidade à reportagem ao mesmo tempo em que apresenta falas negacionistas que negligenciam e contribuem para o agravamento da pandemia de covid-19 e da crise de saúde enfrentada pelos índios Yanomamis. A análise das reportagens está pautada nos estudos enunciativos, na análise do discurso e na mobilização de conceitos e autores como alteridade em (AUTHIER-REVUZ, 1998), o discurso citado, dialogismo e contrapalavra em (BAKHTIN, 2006), divulgação científica e efeito leitor em (ORLANDI, 2001) e jornalismo noticioso em (CORREIA, 2009). The present work analyzes the discourse of scientific dissemination in journalistic texts from the Bakhtinian perspective that understands language as a dialogical activity, the word as an arena of social struggles between responsive subjects. In the journalistic text, it is possible to observe the mobilization of voices and the evaluative position that each representative adopts, in addition to the role of mediator that the journalist plays in comparing the voices of different representatives of instances of power. The speech cited makes explicit the alternation of subjects, what is the place of origin of each enunciator and what evaluative position he occupies. When we observe the news related to the period of the Covid-19 pandemic and the health crisis experienced by the Yanomami Indians, the confrontation between the denialist discourse disseminated by representatives of the federal government and the scientific dissemination discourse that circulates in the journalistic text becomes evident. Reporting involves bringing into conflict voices that represent different spheres, such as scientists and experts, indigenous representatives and representatives of the federal government. Notícias, which disseminate information focused on the humanitarian and health crisis faced by the Yanomami Indians in Northern Brazil. These newspapers disseminate relevant information for society and as such end up bringing together with this information the discourse of scientific dissemination that opposes the denialist discourse. The speech cited allows us to analyze the meanings it causes in the journalistic text through the words of representatives of scientific thought to validate and give credibility to the report while at the same time presenting denialist speeches that neglect and contribute to the worsening of the covid-19 pandemic and of the health crisis faced by the Yanomami Indians. The analysis of the reports is based on enunciative studies, discourse analysis and the mobilization of concepts and authors such as otherness in (AUTHIER-REVUZ, 1998), the cited discourse, dialogism and counterword in (BAKHTIN, 2006), scientific dissemination and effect reader in (ORLANDI, 2001) and news journalism in (CORREIA, 2009).
