| Resumo: | RESUMO Introdução: na formação em Odontologia, os métodos avaliativos devem priorizar a interpretação, tomada de decisão e execução de ações durante o processo de aprendizagem, a fim de formar profissionais humanizados, críticos, reflexivos e eficientes. Neste contexto encontra-se o instrumento Mini-Clinical Evaluation Exercise, amplamente utilizado em cursos da área da saúde para a avaliação do aprendizado e competências práticas, permitindo um feedback imediato. Considerando que os Curso de Odontologia brasileiros enfrentam fragilidades na implementação de avaliações formativas, predominando práticas tradicionais e pouco estruturadas, a implementação desse instrumento pode representar um avanço na formação dos discentes por acrescentar uma avaliação objetiva do atendimento clínico e um feedback imediato para o discente. Objetivo: realizar uma revisão integrativa da literatura sobre o uso do Mini-Clinical Evaluation Exercise na formação em Odontologia. Metodologia: trata-se de uma revisão integrativa guiada pela adaptação do Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses Extension for Scoping Reviews Checklist. A pergunta de pesquisa foi construída com base no mneumônico PCC: como o Mini-Clinical Evaluation Exercise (Population) tem sido implementado (Concept) na Odontologia (Context)? A busca de dados foi realizada no PubMed, SciELO, LILACS, Google Acadêmico e Portal de Periódicos Capes, cruzando descritores da saúde para cada item no mneumônico e os operadores booleanos AND e OR. Além disso, buscou-se dados em listas de referências. Os dados foram triados pelo Rayyan, exportados para o Mendeley e realizou-se a análise dos dados. Resultados: revisou-se dez estudos, sendo nove internacionais e um nacional. Cinco categorias temáticas foram construídas após a análise dos estudos: 1. Habilidades, desempenho e satisfação; 2. Aplicação do feedback na avaliação; 3. Fortalecimento de relações interpessoais; 4. Contextos de implementação do Mini-Clinical Evaluation Exercise; 5. Fragilidades na implementação da avaliação. Conclusão: há indícios da implementação no Mini-Clinical Evaluation Exercise na Odontologia, principalmente a nível internacional em diversos níveis de formação, com nível elevado de satisfação entre estudantes e professores, contribuindo para o aprendizado, melhoria de habilidades clínicas, comunicação, relações interpessoais e eficiência. Destaca-se o feedback imediato que se relacionou com a lapidação do aprendizado. Apesar disso, houve limitações metodológicas em sua implementação e ausência de feedback dos pacientes. |
| Descrição: | ABSTRACT Introduction: in Dentistry training, evaluation methods must prioritize interpretation, decision-making and execution of actions during the learning process, providing feedback between student and teacher, in order to train humanized, critical, reflective and efficient professionals. In this context is the Mini-Clinical Evaluation Exercise instrument, widely used in health courses to evaluate learning and practical skills, allowing immediate feedback. Considering that the Brazilian Dentistry Course faces weaknesses in the implementation of formative assessment, with traditional and poorly structured practices predominating, the implementation of this instrument may represent an advance in the training of students by adding an objective assessment of clinical care associated with immediate feedback on the student's performance. Objective: to carry out an integrative review of the literature on the use of the Mini-Clinic Assessment Exercise in Dentistry training. Methodology: this is an integrative review guided by the adaptation of Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses Extension for Scoping Reviews Checklist. The research question was constructed based on the mneumonic PCC: how has the Miniclinic Assessment Exercise (Population) been implemented (Concept) in Dentistry (Context)? The data search was carried out in PubMed, SciELO, LILACS, Google Scholar and Portal de Periódicos Capes, crossing health descriptors for each item in the mneumonic and the Boolean operators AND and OR. In addition, data was sought from reference lists. The data was screened by Rayyan, exported to Mendeley and data analysis was carried out. Results: ten studies were reviewed, nine international and one national. Five thematic categories were constructed after analyzing the studies: 1. Skills, performance and satisfaction; 2. Application of feedback in the evaluation; 3. Strengthening interpersonal relationships; 4. Contexts for implementing the Mini-Clinical Assessment Exercise; 5. Weaknesses in correcting the assessment. Conclusion: there are suggestions for implementation in the Mini-Clinical Assessment Exercise in Dentistry, mainly at an international level at different levels of training, with a high level of satisfaction among students and teachers, contributing to learning, improving clinical skills, communication, interpersonal relationships and efficiency. The immediate feedback that was related to the polishing of learning stands out. Despite this, there were methodological limitations in its implementation and a lack of patient feedback. |
