dc.descriptionABSTRACT Based on the works Discourse on the Sciences and Arts (1750), Letter to d'Alembert on the Spectacles (1758), and Julie, or the New Heloise (1761), the methodology used in this work was developed from theoretical analysis, an interdisciplinary critical- reflective approach, and hermeneutic bibliographic interpretation. This monograph investigates the relationship between philosophy and literature in the context of Enlightenment modernity, with an emphasis on the aesthetic and ethical transition from theatrical mimesis to romantic mimesis and on the analysis of Jean-Jacques Rousseau's novel Julie, or the New Heloise. The first part examines how the relationship between philosophy and literature has been present since the earliest civilizations. In the context of the 18th century, literature came to be valued as a legitimate instrument of philosophical reflection, incorporating moral and political themes into narrative forms such as the novel and epistolary writing. The second part deals with the crisis of the theatrical model and the rise of the novel as an aesthetic form capable of representing the interiority of the modern subject. In this process, a reconfiguration of verisimilitude is observed: no longer based on the imitation of external types and actions, but on the construction of intimate, subjective, and morally plausible experiences. Finally, the work Julia, or the New Heloise is analyzed as an example of this new modern sensibility, in which reason and emotion, far from opposing each other, are articulated in the ethical form of the characters. Rousseau proposes a synthesis between thought and feeling, making the novel a privileged space for philosophical reflection embodied in experience. Thus, the work aims to analyze the relationship between the concepts of philosophy, literature, language, and education.pt_BR
dc.description.abstractRESUMO Com base nas obras Discurso sobre as ciências e as artes (1750), Carta a d ́Alembert sobre os espetáculos (1758) e Júlia ou a Nova Heloísa (1761), a metodologia utilizada no presente trabalho desenvolveu-se a partir da análise teórica, abordagem crítico- reflexiva interdisciplinar e interpretação hermenêutica bibliográfica. Esta monografia investiga a relação entre filosofia e literatura no contexto da modernidade iluminista, com ênfase na transição estética e ética da mimese teatral à mimese romanesca e na análise do romance Júlia ou a Nova Heloísa, de Jean-Jacques Rousseau. A primeira parte examina como a relação entre filosofia e literatura está presente desde as primeiras civilizações. No século XVIII, a literatura passou a ser valorizada como instrumento legítimo de reflexão filosófica, incorporando temas morais e políticos dentro de formas narrativas como o romance e a epistolografia. A segunda parte trata da crise do modelo teatral clássico e da ascensão do romance como forma estética capaz de representar a interioridade do sujeito moderno. Nesse processo, observa-se uma reconfiguração da verossimilhança: não mais fundada na imitação de tipos e ações externas, mas na construção de experiências íntimas, subjetivas e moralmente verossímeis. Por fim, a obra Júlia ou a Nova Heloísa é analisada como exemplar dessa nova sensibilidade moderna, na qual razão e emoção, longe de se oporem, se articulam na formação ética dos personagens. Rousseau propõe uma síntese entre pensamento e sentimento, fazendo do romance um espaço privilegiado para a reflexão filosófica encarnada na experiência vivida. Assim, o trabalho visa fazer uma análise da relação entre os conceitos filosofia, literatura, linguagem e educação.pt_BR
