dc.descriptionABSTRACT This work has the general objective to reflect on the use of the History of Mathematics as a didactic resource in Mathematics classes. It presents how the History of Mathematics is used in basic education in schools and the methodologies that can be used by teachers. In addition to presenting, the consequences of historical approaches to Mathematics that lead students to have greater performance in learning Mathematics are verified. The research is bibliographical in nature and was carried out using research related to the History of Mathematics and its use as a pedagogical resource in Mathematics classes. Based on the research and studies carried out, we will explain the use of the History of Mathematics in order to contribute to the Teaching-Learning process of Mathematics and to raise the awareness of teachers regarding the importance of using the History of Mathematics in the classroom.pt_BR
dc.description.abstractRESUMO Este trabalho tem como Objetivo Geral refletir sobre o uso da História da Matemática como recurso didático nas aulas de Matemática. Apresenta-se como se dá o uso da História da Matemática no ensino básico nas escolas e as metodologias que podem ser empregadas pelos professores. Além de apresentar, verificam-se as consequências das abordagens históricas da Matemática que levam os alunos a terem maiores desempenhos na aprendizagem da Matemática. A pesquisa é de caráter bibliográfico e foi realizada com a utilização de pesquisas relacionadas à História da Matemática e seu uso como recurso pedagógico em aulas de Matemática. Com base nas pesquisas e nos estudos realizados, explicitaremos o uso da História da Matemática com o intuito de contribuir para o processo de Ensino-Aprendizagem da Matemática e à conscientização de docentes no que tange à importância do uso da História da Matemática em sala de aula.pt_BR
