Description: ABSTRACT Female sexuality shapes itself inside patriarchal and chauvinistic structures, which makes it a target for imposed rules. The male domination over women's sexuality is a form of control, subjugating and affecting its subjectivity, because the construction of femininity is done in opposition to masculinity. Thus, being a woman has less value than being a man. In a capitalist system being a woman goes beyond being a worker or a consumer, it also makes her an object. The process of objetification makes the woman liable of being bought, in positions of prostitution or in the pornographic industry. This monography discusses what constitutes the female sexuality inside a patriarchal and capitalistic society, the impacts that it has on the construction of female subjectivity and its social representation. For that purpose, we have used Google Scholar and Scielo to search and analyze papers from the last fifteen years and books from 1980 until now, correlating the research with socio-historical psychology. This has shown a need for more research in the field of psychology regarding female sexuality.
